TTD Pushkaram temple coming up in Vijayawada

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams are set for the prestigious Krishna Pushkarams in the new Andhra capital region, temple Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao has said.

Accompanied by JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju, Dr Sambasiva Rao inspected the replica temple at the PWD grounds in Vijayawada on Sunday. The EO said the event is a major one in the new capital city and Lord Venkateswara temple coming up in the PWD grounds will be a special attraction to the multitude of visiting pilgrims.

“The State government allotted 25 acres to the TTD to construct the replica temple. We have reviewed three designs and finalized this temple design which has come out very well”, he said, adding that the temple would be opened on August 7 between 7 am and 9:30 am.

All paid sevas will be performed in “Ekantam,” while darshan will be open from 4 am to 10 pm for the pilgrims. Unjal Seva will be performed every day between 7 pm and 8 pm. “We will be distributing Annaprasadam to over one lakh devotees during the pushkarams. The TTD has spent over Rs 7.5 crore for the arrangements”, he added.

JEO Sreenivasa Raju said the photo, flower, museum exhibitions and electrical illumination will be special attraction during the pushkarams.

Special officer of All Projects N Mukteswara Rao elaborated on the cultural programs in the name of Annamaiah, Dasa Sahitya and HDPP wings of the TTD during the pushkarams at the Vijayawada PWD grounds, Buddha Statue, Srikakulam Andhra Maha Vishnu temple and at the Jogulamba temple in Alampur.
