MP Amar Ansari of Bihar argues case for AP

Fri, Jul 29, 2016, 12:53 PM
Amar Ansari, BSP MP from Bihar, noted while speaking on the KVP Ramachandra Rao Private Member Bill on Thursday night that it was the BJP that got the 5-year Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh raised to 10 years. But the moment it got into power, the AP Reorganisation Act was forgotten and the mandate was not implemented.

After his State of Bihar was split, a Special Package was similarly promised. That promise still remains that much hot air.

The Rangarajan committee that had gone into the case of Bihar had noted that it was a land-locked State and deserved a special package. But that was not forthcoming. The people of Bihar had taken up a peaceful signature campaign.

He argued the case for the SCS to AP.
