Plane diverted & duo detained for raising ISIS slogans

Thu, Jul 28, 2016, 12:46 PM
An Indigo Dubai-Kochi flight was diverted to Mumbai after two passengers allegedly shouted pro-ISIS slogans on board on Thursday.

Reports said the two passengers were detained for questioning. ANI reported that the flight made an emergency landing in Mumbai at 9.15 am due to “unruly behaviour of passengers”.

Several reports said the two passengers had raised pro-Islamic State slogans on board. The slogans scared the other passengers, after which the flight was diverted for emergency landing in Mumbai.

The two passengers were later detained by the Mumbai Airport police for questioning and the flight took off.

However, the Airport police immediately didn’t confirm that the accused had raised pro-ISIS slogans. “Two passengers detained after Airlines complained of passengers fighting on board, can’t confirm #ISIS slogans right now,” ANI quoted Airport Police DCP as saying.
