Kashmiris in Occupied Areas protest against rigged poll

Wed, Jul 27, 2016, 05:22 PM
Kashmiris on both sides of Indo-Pak boundary are unhappy. If Pakistan is fomenting trouble in the Valley, the people in the Pak-Occupied Kashmir are unhappy with the election process that was stated to be rigged by the ISI in favour of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

The Nawaz Sharif party won 32 seats in the election held on July 21. The Kashmiris cried foul over the results, saying the poll was rigged by the ISI to the detriment of Kashmiri parties.

All over the Pak-Occupied Kashmir the people came into the streets to agitate against the election. Demonstrations are going on in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Chinari and Mirpur.

The Kashmiris are burning car tyres and clashing with the Pakistan-based security forces. As a result, there is lot of tension in the POK.

Reacting to the incidents, an Indain External Affairs Ministry spokesman said the whole world knew that Pakistan was denying human rights in the occupied Kashmir.

It is well known that Pakistan does not like Kashmiris but wants their picturesque land.
