Sujana & Ramesh charge Congress with halting KVP Bill

Fri, Jul 22, 2016, 06:11 PM
Union Science Minister Sujana Choudhary on Friday alleged that the Congress party had moved the Private Member's Bill on the issue of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh to protect its existence only.

Speaking to the media after adjournment of the Rajya Sabha, he said had the Congress members cooperated on the discussion of AAP member, the House could have saved time and the Bill would have come up for discussion. But the Congress members created scenes, leading to adjournment of the House, he said.

A TDP MP, CM Ramesh, termed the Private Member Bill of the Congress party as a political conspiracy. The Congress party would have to face consequences because it had made promises to the people of Andhra Pradesh on this issue and not fulfilled them, he said.

The TDP MP said if the Congress members continued this kind of behavior after commencement of the House on Monday, justice would not be done to AP.
