Revanth Reddy complains to Governor about denial of rooms in TS Assembly

Tue, Jul 12, 2016, 06:42 PM
The TDP-Telangana leaders on Tuesday called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Rajbhavan and brought to his notice the allotment of TDLP rooms in the State Assembly to others.

A delegation of TDP leaders met the Governor on the issue and Narasimhan assured them that he would seek a report from the Telangana Assembly Speaker.

Speaking to the media later, Telangana State TDP working president A. Revanth Reddy said the party had urged the Governor to look into the issue. The TDP also informed the Governor that the ruling party had re-allotted TDLP room nos. 107 and 110 to others undemocratically and in violation of Assembly rules.

The Speaker should have informed the TDLP before re-allotting “our” allotted rooms to others. But the Speaker failed to follow the Assembly rules. The ruling party was misusing the Speaker’s post and was showing vindictive attitude towards the Opposition parties, Revanth Reddy alleged.

TDP leaders MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy were among the delegation members.
