Digvijay calls YSR friend, Babu dictator & deceiver

AICC general secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state Congress party affairs, Digvijay Singh, said on Thursday that he had very cordial friendship with former Chief Minister, the late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Digvijay remembered the late leader on the occasion of YSR’s birth anniversary.

Speaking to the media on different issues in Hyderabad, Digvijay described Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as a dictator and deceiver, alleging that the latter foisted false cases on Kapu leaders.

Stating that the Congress party was not against the Atomic Power Projects mooted by Andhra Pradesh, Diggyraja opined that the government had to own the responsibility of the people in terms of security and other issues.

Responding to the reports in some section of the media regarding his relation with Zakir Naik, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh state said that he had attended a program in 2012 in Mumbai on the invitation of the former and spoke on secularism. He made it clear that he would still stick to the words he spoke on the day. He had said Zakir Naik is a messenger of peace.
