Revanth pleads for common cause of Opposition

Tue, Jul 05, 2016, 01:09 PM
The disparate political parties in Telangana are coming together. With the ruling TRS poaching on their MLAs, the opposition parties have put aside their differences. Tuesday's denial of two rooms that the TDP had in the Assembly premises was the last straw for the parties to start talking.

TDP working president Revanth Reddy, following the denial of the two rooms, phoned the opposition leaders K. Jana Reddy (Congress) and BJP's Kishan Reddy.

Revanth is believed to have requested the opposition leaders to support the TDP in its fight. Both Jana Reddy and Kishan Reddy reportedly agreed to fight for the common cause.

Earlier, Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudanachary had without notice denied the TDP its two rooms in the House premises.

Both the TDP and the Congress were already at the end of the tether on account of defections by which their MLAs had gone to the ruling TRS.
