Police register case against Owaisi for aid to home-grown terrorists

Mon, Jul 04, 2016, 12:01 PM
A police complaint has been lodged at Saroornagar police station against MIM president Asaduddin Oawaisi for offering legal aid to the terror suspects, who were arrested for planning serial blasts in Hyderabad to please their ISIS handlers in Syria.

The complaint said that Owaisi's aid offer was nothing short of encouragement to the ISIS terrorists in the city. Their activities endangered the lives of people in Hyderabad. By offering aid, Owaisi was directly or indirectly encouraging terrorism, it said.

The BJP had been issuing statements against Owaisi, MP, for the aid to the terrorists.

The terrorists, who were caught before they could set off bombs or create Dhaka-type destruction in Hyderabad, were using chemicals similar to those that were used in Brussels serial bomb attack.

The chemicals include paint remover, which is innocuous by itself. But it is used as an explosive compound when mixed with another chemical.

These are called binary weapons, deadlier than conventional explosives. When separate they are harmless, but when mixed with another compound, it becomes a binary weapon and a deadlier compound. That trick was used in the explosives at Brussels airport with deadly effect.

Like in Dhaka, these are home-grown terrorists, who have ISIS handlers. In fact, the National Investigating Agency has acted on its own when the terrorists sent a message to their ISIS handlers in Syria that they had prepared the explosives and awaited word to carry out attacks.
