Traffic police bid to curb vehicles without number-plates

In order to ensure free flow of vehicular traffic and maintenance of law and order, the city police have decided to conduct a special drive against “Without Number Plate” vehicles. The objective of the special drive was to educate the motorists apart from the enforcement of rules.

According to sources, the drive will be conducted in non-peak hours and away from junctions without causing hindrance to the free flow of vehicular traffic. The vehicles booked as part of the special drive will be detained for plying without Number Plate and it will be released only after fixing a number plate. The vehicle will be challaned as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The violators, who have committed the offence of plying vehicles without number place will be sent for counseling at TTI, Goshamahal and Begumpet. The drive regarding the Number plates is being continued to curb traffic violations and also for the safety of commuters on the road.

The Traffic police have appealed to the motorists to fix Number Plates as per the rules of the Road Transport Authority and also comply with the order of the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
