Thu, Jun 30, 2016, 05:12 PM
Even as the agitation by the Telangana judges and advocates was getting intensified, the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday suspended four more lower court judges on disciplinary grounds.

Taking serious exception to the agitation of judges and advocates, the High Court had placed under suspension 11 lower court judges since the beginning of the agitation after they participated in the stir.

The four judges of Ranga Reddy district court, who were placed under suspension, are: Rangareddy district Judicial Officers’ Association president Srinivas Reddy, secretary Ch. Venkat Rangareddy, associate president Krishnaiah and treasurer Ratnaraju.

The Advocates JAC on Thursday called for a maha dharna at Indira Park. Advocates, judges and judicial employees of ten districts in the State are expected to participate in the maha dharna. Their demands include revocation of suspension of judges, recall of judges of Andhra origin posted in Telangana and immediate bifurcation of the High Court.
