Chandrababu starts the planting season in AP

Mon, Jun 20, 2016, 12:57 PM
Despite the heavy rain and water-logging, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu started this kharif's agricultural operations in the State by formally launching the programme at Chittavaram near Narasapuram in West Godavari district on Monday.

Chandrababu got into two-feet-deep water and ran the seeding machine, while the woman sang the famous cinema song, `Eruvaka sagalo runno Chinnanna...' Even Chandranna for Chinnanna would have been ideal.

The film song says it all: That the agriculture should work and bring in prosperity for the farmer.

Like a typical farmer, Chandrababu had a towel tied around his head for the operation.

While for agriculture those were the ideal conditions, the people and leaders who arrived for the formal programme had all kinds of difficulties because of the rain and slush all around.

Earlier, priests invoked the rain and agriculture gods.
Chandrababu ran the sowing machine planting the paddy seedlings. He bowed to the women who sang the seedling-planting song.

Chandrababu flew in to Madhurapudi for the programme.
