KTR happy with Boeing setting up spareparts unit at Adibhatla

Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday expressed pleasure at top notch Tata-Boeing Areospace Spare Parts Manufacturing Unit being set up at Adibhatla SEZ near Hyderabad.

KTR stated Hyderabad is potential hub for big companies spread into various sectors. With Aerospace unit, Telangana wold go on the global map.

“We welcome the Tata-Boeing for partnering with the government for encouraging industrial growth”, he said.

KTR said the new industrial policy was giving all permissions in 12 days through online. `Besides giving priority to big companies to rope in and expand with investments, we are also inviting the new companies and encouraging startups in a big way,' the IT Minister stated.

Efforts are being made to for speedy industrial growth. He also exuded confidence that the new unit spread over 13 acres would boost the industries in the state of Telangana.

Dave Koopersmith, Boeing's Vice-President, said Indian industry was providing critical support to Boeing commercial and defence programs. He said the company recently partnered with universities and scientific institutions across India which would not only enhance aerospace and defence development capabilities but also create engineering talent.

Pratyush Kumar, President, Boeing India, said Boeing had doubled its procurement from India since last year to almost Rs.10 crore per day and planned to continue doing this. S. Ramadorai, Chairman of TASL, said the ground-breaking ceremony is a significant milestone in furthering their commitment to the Indian aerospace sector.

Sukaran Singh, MD and CEO, Tata Advanced Systems, said they were proud to partner with a company like Boeing. "This is our 10th aerospace project between helicopters and aircraft. The capabilities that we have built allow us to move seamlessly between helicopters and aircraft as all of them are built to aerospace standards," he said.

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, MP Boora Narsaiah Goud and others were present.
