KCR tells TRS leaders to avoid flaying Kodandaram

Mon, Jun 13, 2016, 01:13 PM
In a damage control operation, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday advised his Cabinet Ministers and TRS leaders not to criticise the Telangana Joint Action Committee genrally and Political JAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram particularly.

The completion of 2 years by TRS in office was the flashpoint between the ruling party and Prof Kodandaram. Till then it was all hunky dory for the TRS, receiving and claiming laurels for its rule.

Prof Kodandaram threw the first stone at the TRS for failing on many fronts. This was enough for the TRS ministers to unleash a barrage of criticism aginst Kodandaram. They did not expect the heavy fall-out for flaying Kodandaram. Every other political party came to the aid of Prof Kodandaram in relation to the TRS.

All the political parties and leaders took the Kodandaram opening to flay the TRS in turn.

In a holding operation, KCR apparently felt that if either the JAC that was in the forefront of the separate state demand or its convenor was criticised, it would boomerang on the government. Hence the advice to steer clear of Prof Kodandaram or TJAC.
