Related image Hyderabad, June 12: BJP MLA and deputy floor leader in Telangana Assembly Chintala Ramachandra Reddy today said his party was against the family rule in the country.

Speaking to the media at the State party office at Nampally here on Sunday, the BJP leader said the family rule would hinder development, he said. He stoutly refuted charges of the TRS that the Centre was doing nothing for the infant State. “It is not proper to say that the NDA government was doing nothing for Telangana State,” Chintala said.

The Khairtabad MLA also dared Finance Minister Etela Rajender whether he was ready for an open debate on the financial assistance given by the Centre to the State. Chintala claimed that the BJP government at the Centre has given Rs 1.16 lakh crore to the Telangana government during last two years. As part of assistance, the Centre released Rs 50,000 crore under various welfare schemes, including Grameena Sadak Yojana, he said.

Chintala said the Centre had released Rs 790 crore as in-put subsidy for farmers in Telangana State and questioned the latter whether it distributed at least one crore rupees to farmers as part of input subsidy plan. Condemning the criticism of Prof. Kodandaram by a TRS minister, Chintala quipped that the TRS got shocked with just one meeting of BJP national president Amit Shah at Suryapet in Nalgonda district. He further said the TRS was afraid with the success of one public meeting of BJP chief.
