KTR Says his US Tour is a Big Success

Hyderabad, June 10: IT Minister KT Rama Rao has said that his two week USA tour has become a big success. The tour helped to create new relationships with many states of America.

In a note, KTR said that the tour has given positive results in developing the business and commercial relations between Telangana and many states of America. He said that he held discussions with the states--Illinois, Aeyova, Minnesota, California and Indiana with a view to bring investments to Telangana.

He said that he had meetings with the Governors, Deputy Governors of several states of America and explained to them on the opportunities to invest in Telangana state and explained about the new industrial policy asking them to become a part in the development of the Telangana state.

KTR also discussed with the Mayors on the developmental programs implemented in Indiana Police and Carmel cities and the development they achieved in infrastructure sector to utilize their experience in the development of Telangana state.

KTR had meetings with several world class companies’ chairmen and CEOs and enquired about the plans for their development. He urged them to invest in Telangana region after explaining about the Telangana government’s industrial policy. Responding to Telangana government’s policies, Dream Works CEO Jeffri Catzon Burg praised the Telangana government for its innovative schemes in IT and innovation sectors.

KTR informed that the chances increased for investments after the discussions with Soft Tech Bank CEO Nikesh Arora. He said that Linkdin CEO Read Halfmen assured that he will extend his support to the development of the Telangana state. On the occasion, KTR invited Halfmen to attend the Startup Festival to be held in Silicon Valley in October. He said that chances increased to establish T-Hub Outpost in Silicon Valley with the support of NRIs.

Telangana NRIs Raji Reddy, Kittu Kolluri, Raju Reddy, Keerthi Melkote, Om Nallamasu have come forward to extend their support to set up Outpost in Silicon Valley. The Minister said that he met with En Vista, RR Donelli, Interactive Intelligence, 3M Slum Burge, Net App, Sales Force, I-Hub companies representatives. The discussions with the representatives of IT, Bio-technology, Agri, Food Processing, Clean Tech given fruitful results.

He also visited bio-technology companies--Zeneses Pharmaceuticals, Bostan Scientific, Med Tranics and also visited head offices of agricultural sector companies—Dupont and Kargil companies. He enquired about the technology they were using there. The Minister has revealed that his tour has become a big success in attracting the investments and expressed hope that Telangana will become a destination for the American companies for the investment.
