Warner warns RCB of perfect gameplan for IPL final

Sat, May 28, 2016, 11:30 AM
Hyderabad Sun Risers Captian David warner on Friday gave notice to his Royal Challengers Bangalore counterpart that his team had a perfect gameplan to contain the heroics of the rival skipper.

Warner revealed that with their final rival RCB, they were going to show an improved game than the previous encoutners. With the perfect plan in place, they were not unduly bothered about the AB DeVilliers, Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli in the RCB.

Some say this is perfect Australian way of shifting the worry to the enemy camp. At best, they might be able to exploit the weaknesses of the rival team. But then at that level, cricket depends on the pitch, the atmosphere and other factors.

DeVilliers is no mean match to David Warner so far as taking his team on the victory path is concerned. He has already shown what he is capable of in this tournament. Gayle has had a bad patch. But if on the day of reckoning he gets back his form, then it would be SRH that would be hard pressed.

The limited overs game, especially T20, is a game of chance. Whoever is good on a particular day, that team would win. Even so. SRH is a lucky team in that they have a crunch-time hitter in Bipul sharma who can strike the ball really hard towards the end. Sharma has twice shown what he could do.

RCB, on the other hand, has three mainstays, Chris Gayle, AB DeVilliers and Virat Kohli. It also has its own think tank. If SRH has a game plan, so will the RCB.

Whoever wins, this IPL season of cricket has put cricket lovers on their toes thoughout the season.
