Ravi Sahstri won't see `Azhar'

Wed, May 18, 2016, 10:47 AM
`Azhar' point having been driven home, former Team India Captain Ravi Shastri says he will not see the biographical film made on the life of Mohammad Azharuddin.

Ravi Shastri reasoned, `In actual life I know what Azharuddin is. Therefore, I don't have to see his biographical film.' Doesn't he know Sachin and Dhoni, who are also going through their biopics?

Azhar is not one to let bygones be bygones. He made his point in his biographical film that those who were instrumental in ruining his cricketing career should play their role in his film.

Ravi Shastri, with whom Azhar played 45 Tests and 116 one-day matches together, is shown as playboy, always in the company of girls and also two-timing. Just imagine how the dressing-room atmosphere would have been when the team-mates had to play together for a win.

Be that as it may, the point is Ravi Shastri now says he will not see `Azhar' for obvious reasons. He would rather see the biopics of Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni instead, whenever they are ready.

Ravi Shastri is said to be consulting his lawyers in regard to `Azhar'.

Since Team India captains are queuing up for their biopics, why can't Ravi Shastri also make one for himself, in which he could have a go at his tormentors?
