Social media pick up street fight, while cops say no

Wed, May 04, 2016, 11:55 AM
Street fights are common in any city. But the police take cognizance of these fights when complaints are made at least. But the street fight that happened near a petrol station in the old city is exceptional because the police refused to make cognizance of it, and the social media picked it up and made it big.

In the street fight at the petrol bunk, eight people attacked a person. Despite the group attack the man survived. He managed to go to the police station to lodge a complaint with the police. But they refused to take cognizance of it.

So the man went back to the petrol station, where the CCTV camera recorded the fight. He took the photo evidence back to the police. Still they did not care to file a complaint.

Social media have got wind of it, and aired the fight. It is now making the rounds. The police will have to act now, whoever be the gangsters.
