BJP MP comes to House on horseback

Wed, Apr 27, 2016, 03:43 PM
The even-odd rule of the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi is forcing the MPs to resort to strange means of transport to reach their respective Houses of Parliament.

While the members in general are showing their reluctance to arrive at Parliament in cabs, the BJP members are coming astride horses and some are using bicycles for the purpose.

Ram Prasad Sharma, BJP MP, came riding a horse to the House on Wednesday. Another BJP MP, Manoj Tewari, came riding a bicycle.

Tewari told newsmen that today was odd day. Since his car was even numbered, he was using the cycle, pedalling away happily near Parliament.

But in case of horse sense, no MP should touch a horse, with Shaktiman collapsing in Uttarakhand and the intolerant nation blaming the BJP for cruelty to animals.

The Delhi government has deployed DTC buses for the MPs, but there are not many takers for these buses.
