Suresh Prabhu's top-down approach helps rail passengers

Fri, Apr 15, 2016, 04:09 PM
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is adopting a top-down approach to show results in the passenger care in the railways, whose administration works like any other government department.

Recently, a brother who reported his sister missing from Sonepat railway station got immediate response of mobilising the railway agencies to search for the girl.

Suresh Prabhu was at the time of the brother's tweet touring Germany and France. He immediately reported the matter back to the railway authorities concerned. `A massive search operation has been launched in a co-ordinated way involving the GRP, RPF and local police. IR has taken all-out measure for the missing sister. All rail side thanas had been asked 4 massive search drives,' the Railway Ministry tweeted back to the brother.

So far, there is no report stating that the girl has been restored to the family. But the point is the Railway Ministry is alive to the situation.
