Afghans bowl tough to reduce England to 142

Wed, Mar 23, 2016, 04:49 PM
England set a target of 143 to win for the Afghan side in the WT20 cricket at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

Initially, England went through a nightmare at with 43-4. But it later recovered and put up a sizeable score.

Former English Captian Andrew Flintoff said Afghanistan was expected to beat some world class team. Little did he realise that it would be his own team.

In the previous match against South Africa, Afghanistan gave quite a fright to the Proteas. Despite a big score, the greenhorn Afghans went about their innings in a smashing fashion, but then later their fight petered out.

In the event, Inzamam Haq, former Pakistan captian, prepared the Afghan team well for the World Cup.
