March 9 Total Solar Eclipse visible in Hyderabad for 21 minutes

March 9 is the day of total solar eclipse, but it will be seen at different places for different duration.


The total eclipse starts at 4.49 am and ends at 10.05 am. Except for the Western States, the eclipse will be seen in the rest of India, according to the Earth Sciences Ministry.

If you you are jogger or take a walk in the morning, you will be lucky to see the eclipse. So don't miss the eclipse on March 9. But protect your eyes. Do not see the eclipse with the naked eye.

The eclipse starts at 4.49 in the morning.
At 5.47 the Sun will be totally eclipsed.
Till 9.08, for 3 hours 61 seconds, the Sun will be eclipsed.
The duration varies from place to place.
In Hyderabad, from 6.29 to 6.47 (21 minutes), you will be able to see the total eclipse.
In Nalgonda,from 6.26 to 6.47 (21 minutes), you will be able to see the eclipse.
In Port Blair, the eclipse will be 49%, Bhuvaneswar 24.5%, Agartala 15%, Gauhati 11% and Kolkata 18.5%.
Along with India, South-East Asian countries, Australia and and North Pacific countries also will witness the eclipse.
Although it will be early morning, the people are advised not to see the Sun directly during the eclipse. Seeing with the naked eye is risking one's sight.

All the major temples in the country will be closed during the eclipse time. The temples will be reopened after the eclipse.

Kanyakumari 6.30 to 6.46
Kolkata 5.51 to 6.05
Lucknow 6.23 to 6.45

Varanasi 6.35 to 6.44
