Cricketer Kevin Pietersen lounged out by Quantas

Tue, Dec 15, 2015, 05:45 PM
Famous English cricketer Kevin Pietersen went for the Big Bash League to Australia, but their Quantas Airline did not allow him to use the lounge becasue of a strict dress code.

The controversial cricketer, often at loggerheads with his national team, did not expect such a treatment Down Under. According to the Quantas Dress Code, one has to wear shoes to complete the code. But Kevin was in thongs for footwear.

Kevin could as well have said, "My foot," and he didn't. He instead called the code enforcers `Muppets' in his tweet. Also, he had never faced such a situation.

The episode ended with Quantas apologising, not knowing who Kevin was. Also there were some plastic patches on his dress. They added that the dress code was changed this year. It is, however, difficult to believe that the great cricket-playing country doesn't know who Kevin is.

Kevin has landed in Sydney to play the ensuing Big Bash League.
