India's IT firms among top 10 worst paymasters worldwide: Survey

New Delhi, Sept 21: Any idea as to who are the worst paymasters in the world today? Indian IT companies!

According to MyHiringClub.com's Worldwide IT Salary 2015 survey, IT companies in India have figured in the list of top 10 worst paymasters in the world.

The survey found that a mid-level IT manager in an Indian IT company draws an average salary of $41,213 per annum, while his counterpart in Switzerland earns over four times more.

According to recruitment platform MyHiringClub.com's Worldwide IT Salary 2015 survey, India was ranked 7th on the list of lowest paymasters for information technology (IT) managers, down by one position from last year's.

The list includes Bulgaria that topped the list with a meagre $25,680. It is followed by Vietnam and Thailand averaging at $30,938 and $34,423, respectively.

Other countries on the list include: Indonesia at the fourth spot ($34,780), Philippines ($37,534), India ($41,213), China ($42,689), Czech Republic ($43,219), and Argentina ($51,380).

The survey covered 9,413 companies across 40 different countries between August 1 to August 31, 2015.
