Viewing Television is a major pastime for all the Telugu people. This is one aspect of society that has erased the boundaries of caste, creed and community. Sensing the demand, number of Television Channels have mushroomed in Andhra Pradesh. Gemini TV presented itself first followed by Eenadu TV. After that, the field opened itself. Not less than 20 channels are vying with each other to capture the eyeballs of the viewers. And, it is also a rat race to one up each other in the TRP ratings. Unfortunately, many of our Telugu TV Channels are following each other, absolutely giving no importance to originality and creativity. Except programmes like 'Margadarsi', 'Telugu Velugu' and a few more, the content of many a program is leaving much to be desired. Further to this confusion, the new year 2012 may unveil at least 10 more Telugu Television channels. Let us keep our fingers crossed and see which will reach the winning pole first in these channels to come... For the present let us enjoy the explosion of information on the TV screens...
